With the development of living level and the alteration of life style, the morbidity of coronary heart disease (CHD) tends to be increasing in China.How to prevent and cure CHD with Chinese medicine (CM) has become a popular focus.Two parts in the thesis: document reviews and clinical research.Document reviews:In this part, opinions of ancient CM in the etiology,pathogenesis,differentiation and treatment of angina are discussed, including the review of syndromes,therapies and experiment researches of the past 10 years.It can be concluded that Qi and Blood theory plays an importmant role in the research of CAD. Moreover, the diagnosis and management of unstable angina (UA) are summarized in this part.Clinical research:40 patients of angina (stable and unstable) belonged to qi deficiency and blood stasis type were divided into HuangQi DanShen DiWan (HQDSDW) group and YangXinShi Tablet group. HQDSDW group is the treat group and another is the control one. A randomized double-blind-double-imitate-contral parallel method is used in this research. Result: Compared with the YangXinShi Tablet group, the HuangQi DanShen DiWan group has the same effects in the angina level, hemorhelogy and electrocardiogram (ECG) amelioration, but has significant effects (p<0.05) in symptom remission. It suggests that "nourish qi and invigorate the blood circulation method" is one of the most effective methods to cure angina.
