OBJECTIVE: LV diastolic dysfunction is present in the very earl; phase of MI, which is associated with increased cardiac events sue as development of in-hospital congestive heart failure, mor frequent readmission to the hospital for heart failure, mor advanced NYHA class, and cardiac death. The purpose of this stud was to demonstrate a beneficial effect on LV diastolic functioi decrease in early phase of experimental AMI in rabbits.METHODS: 30 rabbits were randomized to 5 groups: ﹏ormal contro group. (6) (2)sham-operated group (6). .﹎odel group (6). 〤aptopri group(6). 〧uxintang group(6). After handled correspondingly, rabbits were anesthetized, a left thoracotomy was performed, and thi left coronary artery was ligated. In sham-operated rabbits, th( suture was passed but not tied. A hour after, LV diastolic functior data were measured.RESULTS: Captopril group and Fuxintang group both had large] -dp/dtBax, shorter T and lower LVEDP than model group (p<0. 05).CONCLUSION: In this rabbit model of AMI, LV diastolic functioi decrease in early phase of MI exists, and Fuxintang exerts beneficial effects on LV diastolic function, as well as Captopril.
