Pill On The Efficacy And Mechanism Of The Bph Rats

Purpose: To evaluate the effect of JinGuiShenQiWan(JGSQW) on the model rats of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and seek it's working mechanism.Methods: The animal model of BPH was made with rats by subcutaneously injecting methylacetic acid testosterone after emasculated. The changes of prostate tissue of every group are studied with morphometry. Combining the immunohistochemistry method and the image analysis system, the expression of induced nitric oxygen synthase (iNOS) and endothelium-l(ET-l) in prostate tissue was checked.Results: In the low dosage group, JGSQW can diminish the gland volum of prostate and increase the expression of iNOS but not ET-1 in prostate tissue, in the middle and high dosage groups, the volum of prostate hasn't been enlarged or diminished and the expression of iNOS and ET-1 in prostate tissue not affected.Conclusions: In curing BPH, JGSQW can diminish the prostate gland volum, which may be realized by increasing the expression of iNOS in prostate gland tissue to induce the apoptosis of prostatic gland cell.
