Ma Baicalensis Heat-type Cough Syrup Treatment Of Acute Exacerbation Of Chronic Bronchitis (table Cold Cough) Clinical Observation

ObjectiveTo observe the effect of Ma Qin Zhi Ke(MQZK) syrup on acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis which belongs to the syndrome of exterior heat and interior cold cough. And investigate functional mechanisms of MQZK syrup. To provide scientific basis for clinical treatment. MethodsThere are 40 cases with acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis were randomly divided into two groups. 20 cases in treatment group. The other served as control. 20 patients in treatment group were treated with MQZK syrup 10ml per oral three times a day and 20 patients in control group were treated with Man Shan Hong syrup 10ml per oral three times a day. The therapeutic courses in both groups were 14 days. The study was designed to investigate the changes of clinical syndrome, physical sign, leukocyte count and x-ray examination and so on. Results1 The clinical total effective rates were 95.00% and 90.00% in treatment and control group respectively. It was no difference between two groups (P>0.05) .2 Each clinical syndrome and physical sign in treatment group were significantly changed (P<0.05) .The effective rates of cough ,expecloration ,pant and rale were 80%, 80%, 100%,and100% in treatment group. The effective rates of each clinical syndrome and physical sign was no difference in two groups (P>0.05) .3 The changes of leukocyte count and x-ray examination were no difference before and after treatment in two groups (P>0.05) .4 In therapeutic courses, adverse reaction was not been found. ConclusionMQZK syrup was effective and safe to acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis which belongs to the syndrome of exterior heat and interior cold cough.
