| Objective To observe and evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and safety of tablet XiMingTing on patients with climacteric syndrome.Method 44 patients with climacteric syndrome were assigned randomly to two groups. The treatment group was treated by tablet XiMingTing orally, and the control group was treated by placebo. The two groups were treated for four weeks. Observed the changes of the patients' clinical symptoms and physical signs and wrote them down at a regular interval. Before and after the treatment, all the patients were took gynecologic examination, B-us, lab examinations, tested the level of serum estradiol and serum follicle stimulating hormone. The study evaluate the efficacy by the vary of the symptoms' scores.Result Compared with pretreatment, the total scores of symptoms and the scores of following symptoms: hot flash, sweating, insomnia, palpitation, amnosia, thoracic oppression, melancholy and crawly skin after the treatment had statistical difference in the control group(p<0. 05), the scores of other symptoms had no statistical difference(p>0. 05). The total scores of symptoms and the scores of every symptom had statistical difference between pre- and post-treatment in the group that taking tablet XiMingTing(p<0.05). After the treatment, the total scores of symptoms and the scores of following symptoms: hot flash, sweating, fidgetiness, irritability, insomnia, hypochondriac pain, dizziness, tinnitus, melancholy and crawly skin had statistical difference between the two groups(p<0. 05), and scores of other symptoms had no statistical difference between the two groups(p>0. 05). Four patients got headache after taken tablet XiMingTing. The risk rate was 17.37% and had no statistical difference compared with the control group.Conclusion The 4-weeks controlled, randomized, double-blind clinical study show that tablet XiMingTing is effective and safe in the treatment on climacteric syndromes (stagnation of liver qi, yin-yang disharmony pattern). |
