Banxia is the root of the Pinellia ternate (Thnub.)Breit. in Tiannanxing family.It is poison to us, so preparations are often used in clinic. Fabanxia is one of preparations in pharmacopoeia of china in 2000, Caleium oxide and Glycyrrhiza are original materials in preparation of Pinellia ternate .It has effects of expelling sputum and stopping asthma and is often subscribed to asthma and cough due to sputum. This subject have studied the optimum process of preparation and quality control in Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum, in order to offer science data about the optimum process, quality and identification of Fabanxia.1.The study of original articlesStudy the classfication and residiation, confusiation and substitute, place of production and develop habit about Fabanxia. Review and summarize the studies on preparation in Pinellia ternate in rencent years, including processing technology, influence on chemical ingredients and pharmacological effects caused by preparation.2. The study of technology processAt first, we studied the quality of Glycyrrhiza, which is one of the original materials, we have studied the Consumption and treatment of Caleium oxide and Glycyrrhiza in single fractor experiment, analysising Monoammonium Glycyrrhizininate by HPLC and Ephedrine Hydrochloride by UV absorption spectroscopy in Rhizoma Pinelliae preparatum. By this way, we find Rhizoma Pinelliae 100g, Caleium oxide 10g,Glycyrrhiza 15g is optimum consumption.The next, in order to select the best technique of preparation,we select the volume of water in solving Caleium oxide, the concentrate volume of Glycyrrhiza and the preparation time, applying the L, (34) of orthogonal design, analysising the Monoammonium Glycyrrhizininate and Ephedrine Hydrochloride, combining the appearance,sever colour, tingle and rigidity sense.It is optimum that 25ml solution made of hot water of 80℃ by Caleium oxide lOg, 180ml water made of Glycyrrhiza 15g and seven days. The technique is simple, accurate and reliable and can be used for production in manufactory.3. the study of method for quality controlThe mirco-characteristic of Fabanxia were observed by slides of powder. In the study of TLC, we find the recorded developing solvent in Gancao and Fabanxia in pharmacopoeia of china in 2000 is effective and identifiable, so we adopt the methods.We detected the Monoammonium Glycyrrhizininate by HPLC and the Ephedrine Hydrochloride by UV absorption spectroscopy. The chromatography column is Zorbax Extend C18(4. 6mmx250mm,5um), the mobile phase is methanol-0. 2%acetic ammonium-acetic acid (6 7: 33:1), flow rate is 1. 0ml. min-1 , the detection wavelength is 250nm, temperature of the column is 25℃.The average content of Glycyrrhizininate acid is 0. 027%, the recovery is 98.24%,and RSD was 1. 53%, the Alkaloid is detected in 408nm, the average content was 0. 029%, the recovery was 99.62%, and RSD was 1.54%.To sum up, we have confirmed the optimum consumption and technology process. A sysmatical research about fabanxia was carried out,such as identification of quality (including morphology, thin layerchromatography), moisture,ash,lixiviation, aminophenol,heavy metal and pesticide leftover,content assays(including chromatography condition and systematic adaptalility test, preparation of control solution, preparation sampler solution,and analysis method), preparation,characters preparing method, character and action,channel tropism,function of drug and main action,usage and dosage,storage etc. Basing on these researchs, the scheme and clarification about modern quality standard in fabanxia were completed.
