Blood Stasis, Phlegm, And Aging Correlation Of Comparative Research

Object: Probing the close relationship between blood stasis, phlegm and aging under the direction of TCM theory , then through experiment study , to confirm the mechanism of the correlativity , so as to offer warranty of theory and experiment for postpone the aging from dispelling blood stasis and phlegm. It is divided into two parts: theory probing and experiment study.Theories study: For the research of the decrepitude mechanism numerous, most theories think the decrepitude of the human body is from the internal organs functional disorder, especially kidney, spleen, the shortage of the essence, spirit, blood and fluid but with the result that, the phlegm and blood stasis are more than the products in the aging process, they could accelerate aging process. The phlegm and blood stasis has substantive function in aging. 1 blood stasis cause aging the blood is one of the basic materials that constitute the human body and the maintenance life activities of human body. It circulates in the vein, circumfluence whole body, circularly and endlessly; provide the nourishment for the activity of each internal organ. While blood stasis appears, it is no longer substance of body, and could cause new disease. 2. The phlegm induces aging. Body fluid can flow all across the body so phlegm can disserved anywhere. 3. The phlegm and the blood stasis are related. They all rooted in nourishment of food, and can transform into each other. On the otherhand, all due to cold, hot, the debility or block of Qi and the five internal organs dysfunctions, therefore, the phlegm and the blood stasis are the same therapy . Experiment research:Method: Methods: The rats were randomly divided into five groups: normal control group; model group; Vitamin E-C group; dispelling phlegm group, dispelling blood stasis group. The aging rat model was induced by subcutaneous injection of D-Galactose on the back near neck for four weeks. We observed MDA, SOD, TC, TG, HDL-c, and indexes of hemorheology.Results: 1.Dispelling phlegm and dispelling the blood stasis can reduce the content of MDA of liver tissue and can increase the SOD activity. 2. Dispelling phlegm and dispelling the blood stasis could regulating the serum lipid, dispelling blood stasis can reduce triglyceride and cholesterin obviously, dispelling the phlegm treatment can increase the HLD-c.3. Dispelling phlegm and dispelling the blood stasis can meliorate the index of hemorheology. 4. Dispelling phlegm and dispelling the blood stasis can alleviate the pathology changes by D-Galactose.Conclusion: There were many changes in model group, such as: the decrease of SOD, the increase of MDA, structure pathological changes serum lipid maladjustment and abnormity in the indexes of hemorheology etc. It means the aging model was successfully founded. Dispellingphlegm and dispelling the blood stasis can decrease the contents of free radical, regulating blood fat, improve hemorheology. Though these it can postpone aging.
