Point application therapy at certain solar term is a particular external treatment of TCM in traditional medical science, and has been used to cure asthma for many centuries. Point application therapy at certain solar term is based on TCM meridian theory that has many kinds of therapeutical effects. Herb irritates part meridian point and provokes meridian-QI all over the body. Besides herbs with high concentration accumulates in lung, and the best pharmacological action also is achieved through blood circulation.To study the effect of mast leukocyte's appearance and lung histomorphology that point application therapy at certain solar term cure allergized cavies. Method: 40 healthy juvenil cavies were given intraperitonealinjection with 10% egg protein solution according to 0. 4ml/100g, and allergized with 1% egg protein solution atomization after two weeks. Allergized cavies were divided into three groups that were control, corn control and treatment roup. Treatment group was given point application therapy on Feishu, Dazhui, Dingchuan, Tiantu and Shanzhong with herbs. Corn control was given point application therapy with corn meal. Healthy cavies were selected as normal group, control and normal group weren't given any treatment. Result: There are many inflammatory cells in allergized cavies' BALF and many MC and EOS infiltrated lung histomorphology which consistents with asthma pathological transform. BALF's MC decreased in Treatment group and lower than control group (P < 0. 05) .Conclusion: point application therapy can relieves asthma through lessening inflammatory reaction of air passage, which may be the main mechanism.
