Then the rats were treated with gastric infusion of normal saline , SAXTM or captopril in 14th days respectively and last 28 days. The parameters of pulmonary hemodynamics were monitored by Gould 3400 polygraph system through the cannulation of polyvinyl tube. Right ventricle and left ventricle added with interventricular septum weight ratio, the lung wet weight and body weight ratio were measured. The level of plasma endothelin-1 was determined by the method of nonequilibrium. The changes of endothelial nitric oxides synthase(eNOS) in rats lung and the small pulmonary arterial morphologic changes were measured by image analysis. Results (1) SAXTM and captopril significantly inhibited the progression of pulmonary artery pressure, decreased the right heart index, inhibit the structural remodeling of small pulmonary arterial and significantly increased the expression of nitric oxides and the level of plasma endothelin-1(P<0.05 or P<0.01). The effect of SAXTM group were better than that of captopril group(P<0. 05 or P<0. 01). But the indexs as above could not get back the normal levels completely. Conclusion SAXTM is able to reduce the pulmonary hypertension and improved the right heart and lung function of the Wister rats mold. Its mechanisms may be related to reducing the level of plasma endothelin-1 and significantly increasing the nitric oxides in blood serum and the faction of changing the level of ET/NO. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | San'aoxiongting mixture, hypoxemia pulmonary arterial hypertension, endothelin-1, nitric oxides, pulmonary hemodynamics | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
