Objective: Evaluating objectively the clinical efficacy and safety of Chinese native medicine wash-outside in treating Diabetes foot serious wet gangrene and discussing the mechanism through clinical observation. Methods: Adopting experimental methods of random and control, 32 eligible patients were divided into control group(16 cases )which was administered conventional medicine and treatment group (16 cases ) which was added Chinese native medicine to wash outside randomly,.comparing the when of granulation tissue formation and wound surface healing, local symptom and objective sign, classification of carrion , the change of granulation tissue and reduction rate of wound surface after a course of treatment.what is more, half year after recovering, limb function was observed by conducting a long-term follow-up survey .T-test and X~2 test were used in processing data. Results:Treatment group is more effective comparing with control group in the following items: time of occurance of granulation tissue, local symptom and objective sign, classification of carrion, change of granulation tissue, reduction rate of wound surface after a course of treatment, P<0.05; treament group is much shorter than control group in healing time of wound surface, P<0.01; long-term follow-up survey results shows no obvious difference between two groups ,P>0.05.Conclusion: Chinese native medicine wash-outside is safe and effiective in treating serious wet gangrene of diabetes foot .The prescription is probably related to such roles as preventing and treating local infection, anti -inflammation ,bacteriostasis, improving blood circulation and enhancing immunity of local tissue, and clearing necrotic tissue.
