Cerebral infarction(CI) is a common disease that threats people's health seriously, we review and summarize the recognization of ancident Chinese medicine and morden development of CI,we also review the somatic substances and try to study CI with it Base on the theoretical views and clinical experience of CI,Tan zheng is the major type of CI.So we put forword Huatan Qushi Decoction (HTQYD) is an important therapeutic method of CI.Forty-two patients with cerebral infarct were randomly divided into two groups. The control group (20cases) were treated with clinical treatment. On the basis of conventional treatment western medicine, the HTQYD was given to the treated group (24 cases) additionally. The neurofunction deficit score, the somatic substances score, Activity of daily life(ADL),the blood lipid and hemorrheologic character were determined in pre-treatment and post 14 days respectively.As a Result,There were the significant improve in the both of the neurofunction deficit scores after treatment. The difference before and after treatment was no significance (P>0.05). the somatic substances score in the treated group decreased from 50.85±19.78 to 30.75±19.11 (P<0.01).The score in the control group decreased from 49.41±17.93 to 44.18±22.84 (P<0.05). The difference was markedly significant (P<0.01). The Qil scores and ADL scores in each groups rised had a significant difference(P<0.05),the process of scores in the treated group were obviously superior to that in the control group.Conclusion: The treatment of Huatan Qushi Decoction (HTQYD) may obviously improve the somatic substances scores ,QIL scores and ADL scores.
