Malignancies In Patients With Concurrent Depression Survey And Tcm Intervention Effect Study

ObjectiveTo Focus on the affective disorders of patients with tumor in Community and study the probability and correlation factors of being depressed in patients with tumor in Community.To attempt to use TCM intervention.MethodsTo collect patients with tumor in total of 102 in China Meteorological Administration (CMA), using patients self-designed and interviewing to get information with measuring indicator on HAMD depression and questionnaire on commonly condition by professionals,and do statistical disposition to it.To use symptoms differentiation to patients with tumor and compare the index of depression before and after the treatment, 6 weeks is an observation.ResultsAfter excluding false negative,the incidence of being depressed in patients with tumor in the Community is 35.3%,the result is in agreement with literature report.The possibility of being depressed is lower in the patients whose family's income is good.The possibility is higher in patients who have economic burden , low income,getting tumor recently or metastatic carcinoma. With dialectic clssification in traditional chinese medicine,the depression can be classified into 3 types: type of blood stagnancy due to deficiency of QI and stagnation of phlegm-damp, type of deficiency of both vital energy and yin and deficient vital QI leading to lingering of pathogen, type of deficiency of heart-YIN and kidney–YIN and calor internus going upward. Through the TCM intervention ,the result is that the index of depression decreases significantly. The emotion of patients of 88.9% are improved obviously.ConclusionsAccording to the theory of TCM, seven modes of emotions will induce disease and the disease can lead to disharmony of emotions.Treat the tumour patients with depression with TCM symptoms differentiation. In these cases,treating based on holistic concept manifests ascendancy obviously.
