Clinical Study Of Jiawei Sini Powder In Treating Liver Depression And Spleen Of Functional Dyspepsia

[Objective]To observe the clinical curative effect of treating functional dyspepsia (FD) withmodified Si Ni powder (MSNP) and explore the mechanism of treating functionaldyspepsia from theoretical and clinical aspects.[Method]136 FD patients (TCM dialectical was Liver-stagnation with Spleen-deficiencytype) were divided into two groups randomly: the treatment group (76 cases) wastreated with MSNP and the control group (60 cases) was treated with motlium andOryzanol. The course of treatment in each group was 3 weeks. The changes ofsymptoms and curative effect was observed and analyzed after the course. Then it setup the databases and carried on the statistical analysis of the data.[Results]1. The total curative rate was 89.5% in the treatment group while that of controlgroup was 73.33%, and there was a significant difference between the treatment groupand control group (p＜0.05).2. There were no significant difference on symptom accumulation fractionbetween two group (p＞0.05) before treatment. Two groups of base-line materia beforetreating have comparability.After 3 weeks treating, there were significant meaning inthe symptom accumulation fraction between two group (p＜0.01); there also weresignificant meaning in the symptom accumulation fraction in each group before andafter treatment (p＜0.01).3. Treatment group could improve significantly the symptoms such as theepigastric fullness, abdominal pain, anorexia and inertia, and the curative effect wasbetter than that of control group. (p＜0.01);[Conclusion]This research indicated that traditional Chinese medicine prescription of MSNPcould obviously improve the FD patients' clinical symptoms compares with westernmedicine. Through this research, we thought that the MSNP could significant promotethe curative effect on treating functional dyspepsia, and the mechanism might be related to promote the movement of gastrointestinal (GI) and regulate the function ofGI; it also might be related to increase the immunology of body. The therapeuticeffect of MSNP on FD was better than that of western medicine.
