Objective To study the efects of extract of Xuan Dao Xie Fei Yin on actionpotential(AP) and L-type calcium channel in is olated ventricular myocytesMethods AP was recorded by current-clamp mode and L-type calciumcurrent(Ica_L) was recorded by voltage-clamp mode using whole patch clampResults Action potential duration of repolarization was shortened by13％, 23％at the dilution of Xuan Dao Xie Fei Yin 1:800, 1:200, respectively.Xuan Dao Xie Fei Yin significantly ICa—L in a concentration-dependentmanner.Peak Ica-L was reduced by 15％at the dilution of Xuan Dao Xie FeiYin 1:800 and 42％at 1:200, respectively. I-V relationship and the voltage ofpeak did not changed significantly.Conclusion Xuan Dao Xie Fei Yin shortens APD and decreases the lca-L ina concentration-dependent manner,which may be one of critical basis of itsantiarrhythmia.
