β-Lactam Antibiotics can be divided into three parts by chemical structures:Penicillins, Cephalosporins and Untypicalβ-Lactam Antibiotics.It is applicable for many simple or compounded infections and is the most popular one in all kinds of anti-infection drugs.Infusion solutions can maintain the balance of volume,composition and osmotic concentration in every compartments of body fluid.They also provide nutritive substance to the body,too.Nowadays antibiotic injections are usually dissolved in infusion solutions before use clinically.This paper investigates the compatibility of seven,typicalβ-Lactam Antibiotics with 8 special infusion solutions(M3A,M3B,MG3,R2A,R4A,SLG,SLR,SLS).We choose suitable HPLC methods to determine the quantities ofβ-Lactam Antibiotics in mixture at room temperature and observe their external appearance,pH and the number of particulate matter at the same time.Furthermore, this paper studies factors affect the stability of Meropenem compatible solution.(1)The appearance of compatible solutions change very little when the number of particulate matter is also consistent with Chinese Pharmacopeia in 8 hours at room temperature, 4.7<pH<7.2 and change less than±0.3 in 8 hours which shows it can be tolerant by human body.The content descents of compatible solutions of Cefotaxime Sodium,Cefazolin Sodium and Cefepime with 8 infusion solutions in 8 hours are all less than 5%;The content descents of compatible solutions of Ceftazidime,Ceftriaxone Sodium and Benzylpenicillin Sodium with 8 infusion solutions under 0℃in 8 hours are less than 5%but under 35℃are less than 20%; The content descents of Meropenem compatible solution under 0℃in 8 hours are less than 5% but under 35℃are obviously,especially with M3A,M3B and SLR which more than 20%.Although there are no obviously physical changes in compatible solutions,the content descents are very different.Environment temperature affects a lot to the stability of compatible solutions while light affects little.It is advised that clinical usage should according to the property of each compatible solution.(2)Meropenem mainly reacts with sodium lactate under weak acid condition and also has alkali degradation under alkalinous condition.Its' compatible solutions have different degree of content lose because every infusion solutions has the ingredient of sodium lactate,and the higher pH value is,the more content descent is.
