This paper is about the study of the relationship between the Functions of Chinese Medicine(FCM) and Nature of Chinese Medicine(NCM). The study is conducted under the guidance of the Theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TTCM) with the help of the Datamining Technology. Forecasting Model(FM) for NCM performance-based on FCM have been established in order to discover more information of NCM to complement related statistics. The paper is to support the research on amelioration of NCM.FCM and NCM link closely, this paper searched the database of《PHARMACOPOEIA OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA》(2000 Edition),having fond 507 kinds of chinese medicines which had both records of FCM and NCM. With the help of datamining technology , The relationships between FCM and Siqi, FCM and Wuwei, FCM and Guijing had been examed in order to establishe the FM.Method of copying examples was adopted when establishing the FM, while cross method, holdout method and resubstitution method were adopted to validate the FM due to the difference of data characteristic; The size of the FM, Error Rates,Sensitivity and Specificity all were under control when the model was evaluated with the knowledge of Chines Medicine. That is very important.20 models has been established such as siqi, wuwei and guijing. most of which have been proved to be reasonable and reliable according to the results. Obviously, some regular links exist between FCM and NCM. For example , the Error Rate of FM of ganjing,xinjing and pijing were 86%, 75% and 81% respectively. With the help of the FM, this paper predicted some unknown information of 19 kinds of Chinese Medicine , such as Herba Hyperici Perforati, Herba Lamiophlomis and Rhizoma Dioscoreae Nipponicae. The results come that Herba Hyperici Perforati is Xing-han,Wei-xin ku(bitter), attributing to Gan-jing,Shen-jing and Fei-jing, Herba Lamiophlomis is attributing to Gan-jing and Pi-jing, Rhizoma Dioscoreae Nipponicae is attributing to Fei-jing,Dan-jing and Gan-jing.Datamining technology is a method of significance to the study of the information of NCM.At last, the problems existed in the study and related solutions had been further discussing.
