So far, only the tincture and slurry were used in clinic.The disadvantage on both preparations were gross stimulate to mucous membrane of the main solvent alcohol in tincture and no-convenience of slurry.Some solvents which are non-irritant to vulvar mucous membrane were choice to form a liniment for reduced the irritation reactions and elevated the complaisance of patients.In the chapter one, the prescription of the preparation was ascertained.In the chapter two, the part of quality control about podophyllotoxin liniment was researched. The results indicated that the quality of podophyllotoxin liniment could be controlled.In the chapter three, the slight irritation reactions induced by podophyllotoxin liniment were observed on both integrity skin and damaged skin, but the irritation reactions were not increased by multiple dosing. There were no significant difference about skin reaction score and incidence between the stages of induction and challenge in sensitization test (P>0.05). So, the skin reactions in challenge stage were irritated reactions, not allergic reactions.In the chapter four, the results of the stability of podophyllotoxin liniment including influencing factors experiment, accelerating experiment, room temperature storage test indicated that the preparation was stable.
