Investigation Of The Unit Cost Of Aids Intervention In A State Of Commercial Sex Workers In Yunnan Province

Though HIV/AIDS in China was found in drug abusers,throuth the new infecions in 2005,we can see that the infection from sex becomes higher and higher in an obvious way.And,commercial sex workers are high-risk people and bridge people when we are talking about infecions from sex. Some paper show that the special funds of HIV/AIDS are in the trend of increasing,but the input of human resource is indequate.In order to calculate the human resource and working hours when doing the prevention of HIV/AIDS for one CSW,and to make a cash cost analysis of doing the outreach behavioral intervention in CSW,so that we can give some hints when the other areas do the same work,we do the site observation, interview the workers,look for the written materials or invoices concernings,we can have the sketch of the work concerning CSW behavioral intervention,make a survey about the source and the cost situation of funds in 3 counties in Dehong Prefecture and the working hour of the working people.At the mean time,we can make a sketch and requirements analysis of the target population and working people through in-depth interviews.As results,we find that it will cost 41 yuan to make a inntervention per CSW.We should pay 37 minutes to intervent one CSW in the way of critical outreach,and 53 minutes in the way of training them.Different forms to make a training make the time cost different.The cost of time is different when intervent CSW of high level,middle level and low level.The same situation happen when we analyze the different ways to implement the intervention.Middle level CSW cost more time compared with the other two levels while the Propaganda Mode cost more time when compared with the Organization Mode.
