Integrative Medicine Systematic Reviews Of Treatment Of Diabetic Kidney Disease

Objectives To evaluate the benefits and harms Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) comding with west medicine in patients with diabetic kidney disease(DKD). Review systematically whether there is enough existing Evidences that TCM is effective and safe in the treatment of the patients With west medicineMethods We searched the Cochrane Controlled Trials Registe(CCTR)(The Cochrane Library issue 4 2007) MEDLINE(1996to2007),and China National Konwledge infrastructure(CNKI),Chinese Biological Medicine database(CBM),WanFang data.The Chinese journals related to TCM in 2007 searched by hand.Two authors independently assessed trial quality and extracted data from these Randomized Controlled Trails,then imported them into the Mete-analysis by Rev.Men 4.2.10.Results twenty-five studies(1758 patients) were identified.The results of Mete-analysis indicated:there are evidences to support that using TCM comding with west medicine is better than west Benazapril only on symptom physical sign and blood glucose blood-fat 24h urine proten urine albumin excretion rate(UAER).but the methododlogical quality is considered low in these studies.Conclusions By the result of this study,Chinese medical herds combining with west medicine is more effective than simplex west medicine.However, the evidence is not enough strong because of the low qualities of trials,the small sample sizes and other defect。...
