| Objective:Analysy the relevance between the patients with gastrointestinal dysfunction who suffer stress ulcer in ICU and APACHE-Ⅱscore,gas-trointestinal dysfunction score,TCM Syndrome Differentiation and prognosis. Methods:In the hospital-based study, the researcher recruits all of the 36 cases of ICU inpatients from October 2006 to January 2008 at Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.Do statistics and analysis about their common information: name,sex,enrolling-hospital diagnosis,APACHE-Ⅱscore, gastrointestinal dysfunction score,TCM differentiation of symptoms and signs.Results:20 cases occurred stress ulcer in 36 cases patients, about 55.56% percent of the total number of cases.13 patients were died in the patients who wite stress ulcer, the mortality rate was 65%.The analysis between stress ulcer and mortality showed the P value<0.05.Deficiency syndromes were 55.56%percent of the total number of cases in TCM differentiation of symptoms and signs. In the stress ulcer patients, deficiency symptom was in a ratio of 70%.The analysis between stress ulcer and APACHE-Ⅱscore showed the P value>0.05.The analysis between gastrointestinal dysfunction score and APACHE-Ⅱscore showed the P values<0.001.Conclusions:Over half of the inpatients with gastrointestinal dysfunction in ICU progress to stress ulcer. It is common that the gastrointestinal dysfunction patients have more than 2 Chinese syndromes among which qi deficiency have the highest prevalence. Among the patients, deficiency syndromes are more common than excess syndromes.APACHE-Ⅱscore is significantly correlated with gastrointestinal dysfunction rather than stress ulcer. The higher the APACHE-Ⅱscore,the worse the patient's health condition, and the severer the syndrome of the gastrointestinal dysfunction is.Stress ulcer has a significant correlation with the prognosis. The mortality among the severe patients with stress ulcer is higher than that among those without stress ulcer. |
