Objective To evaluate the influences of PCI on QT dispersion and heart rate variability of coronary heart disease(CHD)patient.Method (1) PCI group:35 patients are involved in the research. (2)Control group: They are CHD patients without PCI treatment. 31 patients are involved in the research. As to the PCI group, QTd and HRV were made before operation and post-operation one week, one month and 3 months respectively. As to the control group, QTd and HRV were made before the regular medicine treatment and one week, one month and 3 months respectively after it. The method to analyze and deal with materials from both groups is the same. The relationship between them was tested with SPSS 10.0 software. Results Comparison of QTd and HRV within the PCI group: The QTd record were significant difference between those values before and after PCI(P<0.01), but there were no significant difference between those values one week, one month and three months after PCI(P>0.05). The HRV record after one month did vary distinctively against that before the operation.(P<0.05).The HRV recorded three months after varied so much against that before the operation that it arrived at the criterion(P<0.01). Comparison of QTd and HRV between the PCI group and the control group:Before PCI there were no differences between two groups statistically. But QTd were much shorter than that of control group one week, one month and three months after PCI respectively(P<0.05). HRV of the PCI group recorded one month after varied to some degree against that of the control group, but did not reach the standard set before(P>0.05).The HRV of the PCI group record three months after varied so much against that of the control group that it arrived at the required criterion(P<0.05).Conclusion Successful PCI can supply enough blood to myocardium, and therefore shorten QTd and improve HRV . The QTd and HRV testing proves to be a valid index through which the curative effect of PCI can be evaluated clinically.
