| Object:To investigate the clinical research status(clinically randomized controlled trials) of acupuncture for Herpes zoster in order to provide more reliable evidence for clinical treatment.Method:Subjecting to the principles of evidence-based medicine, retrieve the relative medical database both domestic and outside since 1950,totally 51 clinically randomized controlled trials papers for Herpes Zoster published were searched and assessed based on Evidence-Based Medicine and Methodological Evaluation method.Result:There were 51 RCTs subjecting to the inclusion criteria.Although "random control"and "random allocation"were referred in all of RCTs,there were only 5 describing the definite method of randomized allocation.Blind method was less used.None of them mentioned the estimation of sample size and withdrawal cases & adverse reaction.Follow-up was mentioned in 2 RCTs.There existed insufficiency in analysis of interclass balance, evaluation of therapeutic effect, conclusion deduction, etc.which decreased the quality of RCTs for Herpes Zoster. Conclusion:The quality of clinical study of Acupuncture for Herpes Zoster has been improved in recent years, but there is still a lot of inadequacy in research design and implements.Hish-quality multi-central prospective trials are expected to provide more reliable evidence for clinical treatment, higher quality RCTs for SR. |
