Objective: To investigate chuan ning(CN) granulation's acute toxictiy and pharmacodynamic action.Method: To measure the LD50 of CN granulation. In order to investigate the effect of,relieving cough, anti-inflammatory ,eliminating phlegm and relieving asthma through ammonia water stronger induced cough model of mice, xylene induced auricle edema model in mice, PhenolsulfonPhthalein excretion test in mice's trachea and histamine phosphate induced asthma model of guinea pig,.It effected to observed through determine egg albumin induced asthma model the content of ET-1 in the lung tissue and blood serum of rats, determined mast cell degranulation and apoptosis quantitative in BALF, as well as it effects that Bcl-2 expression and apotosis cells in the lung tissue and trachea of rats.Result: Acute toxicity text showed that maximal tolerance of experimental mice to CN granulation was 236g/kg/day,it was 193 times as the dose in children,it was high dose in rat 5.31 times in pharmacodynamics experiment, CN granulation could prolong the latent period of mice which ammonia water-induce cough model and decrease the times of cough induced by amnonia water in mice, could lower swelling of the mice in the auricular swelling test, increase phenolsulfonphthalein excretion in mice of trachea and prolong the latent period of asthma induced by histamine and acetylcholine mixture in guinea pig, increasing the content of ET-1 in the blood serum and the lung tissue in tardive asthma model of rats, increasing mast cells degranulation and apoptosis cells'quantity, could increase Bcl-2 expression in the lung tissue and trachea of rats, diminished the quantity of apoptosis cells in the lung tissue and trachea of rats. Conclusion: The CN granulation is a antiepilepsy traditional Chinese medicine that have a favorable developmental prospect very much.
