| Objective:To observe the effect of nasal Mucociliary Transport Function and subjective nasal ventilation of ultrasonic atomization inhalation therapy of chinese herbal medicine to treat the Chronic Rhino Sinusitis (CRS).Methods:With the design of prospective, randomized, double-blind, blank control, we observed 52 patients in total. All the patients were diagnosed with CRS in western medicine, and in accordance with BiYuan caused by heat in lung meridian in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The treatment group (26 cases) were given the chinese herbal medicine 10ml for ultrasonic atomization inhalation, Qd×3 days. The blank control group were given distilled water 10ml for ultrasonic atomization inhalation, Qd×3 days.We recorded the nasal Mucociliary Transport Time(MTT), nasal obstruction Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) pre and post the treatment. With the observation completed, we evaluated the effects by statistical analysis.Results:①Treatment group:the MTT shorten from (1162.96±395.847) seconds pre treatment to (726.35±275.554) seconds post treatment (P<0.05). The nasal obstructive VAS score decreased from (6.62±0.898) pre treatment to (4.19±1.021) post treatment (P<0.05).②Control group:the MTT had no significant difference pre and post treatment (P>0.05). The nasal obstructive VAS score decreased from (6.38±0.852) pre treatment to (5.73±1.041) post treatment (P<0.05).③The effect of treatment group is more significant than that of control group in MTT and nasal obstruction VAS scale (P<0.05)Conclusion:The ultrasonic atomization inhalation therapy of chinese herbal medicine could improve the nasal Mucociliary Transport Function and subjective nasal ventilation. Both the Chinese herbal medicine and distilled water ultrasonic atomization inhalation could improve the subjective nasal ventilation, however, the Chinese herb medicine had more significant effect. |
