From Wang Guowei Wang Yuanhua

With the modernization process of academic and ideological in the twentieth century, the update method is crucial in this process part. Wang Guowei utilized the methodology of" mutually proving between Chinese and Western cultural" in the traditional literature research, whicn opened opens the precursor of methodology in modern literature and made a profound influence on the development of literature's methodology process in the twentieth century. With the circuitous development, the methodology of "mutually proving between Chinese and Western cultural" had been constantly inherited. Wang Yuan-hua's "Synthetical Study Method" is no doubt to be a model in the "Method Fever" which happened in the earlier of 1980s. "Synthetical Study Method" makes further deepening and development and absorbes the essence of the previous experience in a more rational and scientific direction,which is based on the methodology of " mutually proving between Chinese and Western cultural ". As two individuals in historical process, Wang Guowei and Wang Yuanhua also played two important and continuous aspects in the development history of the methodology.This thesis chiefly devided into two sectionsto separately analyse why and how Wang Guowei and Wang Yuanhua promote this method. The former will analysis relevant literature comprehensivly, clarify Wang Guowei's achievements in creating modern methodology and point his deficiencies.The laster will research the influence on Wang Yuanhua which is from the methodology of" mutually proving between Chinese and Western cultural "and point the creation on the methodology of the irrational and stiffness traces.On the basis of these,the thesis reveals the evolution trajectory of modern literary methodology in the twentieth century. It will take unignored value to building the system of Contemporary Literary Theory and application of scientific methodology.
