| Artistic Design of Garments has the property of artistry and practicability and the artistry is an important property to judge the level of fashion design. With economics improving, the public desire more fashionable clothes. Simple and easy designs cannot reach people's desire; therefore, combining art with other subjects is highly demanded nowadays. In this modern era, artists are more concentrated on the research on the language of art. These researches not only play an important role in modern art but also on Artistic Design of Garments. Artistic Design of Garments consists of three parts, cutting, colouring and materials. Colourings boost the cutting and complement the weakness of materials. Colouring cannot be isolated although it is vital for fashion design. In addition, colouring is the most attractive to people's views. Therefore, analyzing design through colour language and developing the functions of the painting language can broaden the innovation of modern garment design, which also reflect the humanities and art of modern people's lives.In this dissertation, there are three sections in total:The Introduction, generally describes the relationship between Artistic Design of Garments and drawing colour language. According to the tendency of developing of fashion design, we need to obtain new ideas by studying drawing colour language. Hence, modern garments can be more aesthetic and more decorative. Furthermore, it can excite people's aesthetic feelings for a higher level.In section one, the relationship between Artistic Design of Garment and colour language will be further studied. By studying traditional Chinese Painting, modern Western Painting and other painting methods, with the help of many famous artists painting to thoroughly understand how colour language can affect the entire intention of the painting. Consequently, perceive that it is suitable to develop the innovation and aesthetics of fashion design by starting with the study of colour language.As more and more people are focusing on national culture, there are more crossovers between fashion design and traditional Chinese cultures. More and more inspirations come from the understandings of Chinese cultures and traditional Chinese Paintings, which practically increases the designing abilities of artists.Fairly large numbers of designers create many stylized, fashioned and new trends works by possessing the meanings of modern Western Paintings. For western and oriental designers, it is essential to scientifically, objectively analyze the connections of the colour language of western paintings and the colour language of fashion design. This can break through the difficulties of fashion design.In section two, deeper study will be made about the rules, space, texture and material of ornamental forms. Compare and find out the commons and differences between colour language of paintings and colour language of garments. Although painting and fashion design are different forms of artistic, the rules of colouring are the same; this makes sure it would be a successful crossover between painting and fashion design. The changes of texture and other materials (such as beads, paillette and decoration materials) can make the garment materials more flexible to use, which can also bring fresh ideas to designers and give people different views about the same design.Classic garments and modern garments will be judged by artistic aesthetics in section three. Exploring and analyzing the performance of colour language of painting in modern garments. Nowadays, with the merging of western and oriental cultures, the boundaries between traditional western paintings and traditional oriental paintings are reducing. New styles of mix and match can be easily found in modern garments rather than old style fashion design.Finally, a conclusion will be made according to the content studied above and evaluate the contribution of colour language of painting to the artistic design of garments. |
