On The Development Status Of Chinese Contemporary Figurative Realist Sculptures

Based on the application of the Chinese realistic sculpture in current generation, this paper is focusing on the history and present situation of modern realistic sculpture, and further approaches the development trend of the modern realistic sculpture.Throughout the history of the Chinese realistic sculpture, ancient realistic sculpture has achieved a high state of development. However, there are some problems occurred on the passing of the sculpture arts and crafts. Moreover, due to the ideology during that period, sculpture which only used in religion, funeral and architectural decoration was not allowed to enter into the circle of main stream performing art. Thus, the reasons above lead to the slowing down of sculpture development。Its first period of rapid growth came when enter the 20th century. Western realistic sculpture which occupied the dominant position at that time was not localized. The big difference between Chinese style sculpture and Western style sculpture, the losses of local civilization, and the westernization of evaluation system limit the development of modern realistic sculpture.With the rapid economic and technology development in China, the national power, international status and international influence of China have been significantly improved. Social and cultural renaissance has been a trend. Thus, all these developments are formed as great chances for the growth of the modern realistic culture.Under the existing condition, it is our duties to recognize difficulties, seize the opportunities and build a civilization system for the local culture, and to help Chinese realistic sculpture develop a sound growth.
