Su Shi's "prelude" Song Study

Prelude to Water Melody: Thinking of You by Su Shi is widely sung for generations for its great impact in art. It is also a perfect subject for the composers to make creative works. This dissertation makes the different songs of Prelude to Water Melody: Thinking of You since 1900s as its research object, starts from the phenomenon of"one lyrics with diffrent melodies"and conducts mosaic research to the creation and art features of these songs within the scope of music. In song composing, 19 songs are composed on the lyrics of Prelude to Water Melody: Thinking of You over 70 years, which has the largest amount and greatest influence among the"one lyrics with differnt melodies"of Song poems. It is an important part of modern songs of Song poems. In the genre, Prelude to Water Melody: Thinking of You is abundant in genres, which includes art song, lyric song, popular song and chamber music. All of these songs convey the composers'understandings to Prelude to Water Melody: Thinking of You in different periods with their different styles. In artistic features, the songs of Prelude to Water Melody: Thinking of You combine the poems with Chinese traditional music while keeping the original feature of the poem, which has strong ethnic charicteristics. In the musical form, the songs of Prelude to Water Melody: Thinking of You make active attemp in the nationalization of harmony, the reciting features of music and the combination of music and poem.
