The vocality teaching is hard core of technical ability training in music education system of higher normal school, which affects the quality of fostering music teachers for basic education directly. The traditional vocality teaching in higher normal school adopts modus operandi of professional music academy, along with development and transformation of music education situation in new century, especially in the instance that the contradiction becomes prominent day by day, which results from three ones in music specialty of higher normal school that the diathesis of new student drops wholly, the strength of teacher lacks relatively and the standard requirement of talent cultivating enhances gradually, current vocality teaching model exposes many inopportune malpractices, and forms a pattern which doesn't adapt with basal music education. In this dissertation, based on combining with précis on vocality teaching, hackling the goal direction, nature character and teaching principle of vocality teaching of higher normal school, the actuality about student source, teacher aptitude and course content of vocality teaching of higher normal school is analyzed amply, the kind, trait and adaptability of modality and method of vocality teaching in higher normal school are studied particularly, finally proceeding from reviewing the progress of vocality teaching reform in higher normal school, the aim of vocality teaching reform in new period is analyzed, furthermore some opinions on reforming education idea, course content, teaching form and teacher potence of vocality curricula of higher normal school are expatiated expressly. The obtained harvests don't only establish theory basis for more similar research in future, but also provide reference and gist for deepening vocality teaching reform of higher normal school.
