In modern Chinese, Attributive-head structure can be generalized as "N1+de +N2 ",in which there are possessive or modification relations between N1 and N2.But through the facts of language we can also find some phenomena such as "ta de lao shi dang de hao " " wo shui wo de jiao " " wo bang ta de mang ", in which " ta de lao shi" "wo de jiao" "ta de mang" share a common characteristic that syntactically the de phrase "N1+de+N2",but semantically the possessive and modification relation is absent. Such attributives are commonly called quasi-attributives or pseudo attributives, and such sentences are commonly called sentences with form-meaning mismatch. Quasi-attributive structures are usually used as the subjects or objects of the sentences, sometimes are used directly as clauses. This paper discusses 5 Quasi-attributive Structures sharing a common form "Nl+de+N2" systematically, including the components of the structures, the semantic relation between components and the semantics of the structures, on that basis we summarize the syntactical and semantic features in common of these 5 Quasi-attributive Structures.Regarding the generative mechanisms of these 5 Quasi-attributive Structures, there have been some researches such as Huang (2004)& Shen Jiaxuan (2007). Based on lexical decomposition and head movement theories, Huang (2004) holds a theory of derivation that such sentences are generated from the root structure through such syntactic operations as movement and deletion. Shen Jiaxuan(2007) holds a different view that the Quasi-attributive Structures are analogized from some structures which have already existed in Modern Chinese, he further argues that analogy is realized through a general cognitive mechanism called blending, which functions both in word formation and sentence generation. This paper analyzed and compared these two generative mechanisms, and modified Huang(2004)'s theoretical framework with parametric theory of gerundive nominalization which was put forward by Deng Siying (2008).Using the modified theoretical framework, this paper further discusses the underlying structures and generative mechanisms of these 5 Quasi-attributive Structures.
