Conducting questionnaires among teachers, students and parents in Balinyou County's Mongolian middle and primary schools about their application of their mother tongue in teaching and learning through surveying 978 teachers, students and parents.The paper not elaborates the undergoing changes about the situation during the last ten years,but also probes into some existing problems in the area's ethnic education.The paper is composed of the following four parts:the Introduction,ChapterⅠ,ChapterⅡ,ChapterⅢ.The author introduced the general situation of Balinyou County, the history of ethnic education,five schools that's been surveyed and also clarified the reason of subject selection,research methods and research materials in the Introduction.In ChapterⅠthe author stated the changes of following cases in Balinyou County's Mongolian middle and primary schools:the number of teachers, the number of students and schools, the number of Mongolian students who study in Chinese working schools.In ChapterⅡ,the author focused on the application status of Mongolian in the middle and primary schools in Balinyou County and analyzed teachers' and students'and parents'application status of Mongolian.In ChapterⅢ, the author clarified the existing problem in application of Mongolian in Balinyou County Mongolian middle and primary schools and put forward her proposal.
