Inner alchemy for women is named female's Neidan or female's gold elixir. On the theory of Neidan, we should deal with the methods and steps of the inner alchemy in different ways because there exist the great difference in physiology and phychology between men and women. The inner alchemy will not achieve twice the result with half the effort without considering the feature of female's physiology and phychology.Song,Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties are important periods for developing Neidan theory. During these periods, both the female's inner alchemy and theory result are important components.Although there are many female's works throuqh the ages, the amount of research result in female's Neidan is limited because of the low status of women in feudal society and the secret of the inheritance of inner alchemy for women.This essay focus on collecting history materials and discussing literatures. The literatures about theory of inner alchemy for women are fragmentary, so the former researches are not systemic and deep. I will arrange and explore the practical value and actual significance of the theory of inner alchemy for women. This essay has five parts. In the first parts I review the history of Neidan doctrine. Then, I summarize the theory of inner alchemy for women in Taoist about its forming and concept through comparing relative materials in order to make clear its sequence. Afterwards, I introduce the development process of theory of inner alchemy for women in Taoist during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Then, I analyze the practice of the inner alchemy of female's Neidan during these Dynasties above mentioned in detail on the base of the main theory ideology. Finally, I sum up the practical value and actual significance of theory of inner alchemy for women after clearing the important statas of the theory in Taoist history.
