Harmonious Blend Of Poetry And Thinking - On The Image Of Thinking Of Traditional Chinese Philosophy

Yi Xiang thinking is one of the important contents or charac-teristics of Chinese traditional philosophy. In order to thoroughly understandYi Xiang thinking, the thesis attempts to study it on the whole.First of all, the thesis briefly introduces the present studying on Yi Xi-ang thinking of Chinese traditiona1 philosophy. At the same time, it analy-ses the relation among philosophy, culture and the mode of thinking. Next,the thesis discusses how to define Yi Xing thinking by comparing betweenChinese and western definitions. Then, from Zhou Dynasty, the kingdom ofWei and Jin Dynasty to Song Dynasty and Ming Dynasty, the thesis tries toinvestigate the evolution of the form of Yi Xiang thinking. And a conclusioncan be drawn that Yi Xiang thinking has gone through metaphor, Ti Yu andhistory thinking three phases. Moreover, the characteristics of Yi Xiangthinking is demoftstrated. The author thinks that poetry and reason are twomain characteristics of Yi Xiang thinking, which can be stated in generalterms as the harmonious combination of poetry and reason if we view Yi Xi-ang thinking as a whole. Finally, the thesis illustrates tho influence of YiXiang thinking upon the theory on Chinese traditional art such as Chinesepoetry, Chinese drawing and Chinese writing.
