William ?Faulkner is one of the greatest fictionists in the twentieth century. Being a writer who concentrates on the progress and the destiny of human beings, he probed all kinds of problems born from the south of U.S.A and the whole world which had experienced kinds of hardship. Then he put forward the prescription of standing fast traditional morality for the south and all the world who both lost the inspirit brace, hoping to use those traditional excellent moral characters, such as bravery, goodness, bowel and compassionate, to make people out of the crises of the inspirit, and rebuild homeland. Through the hard probing, the view of rescuing morality of Faulkner's is conformed finally. The article intends to have some deep analysis about the works in prime phase, in order to find out how he embodied his view of rescuing morality, origination of the view and characteristic of prophase.
