Understand Heidegger's Hermeneutic Cycle Thinking

Hermeneutic circle is a central thesis of hermeneutics.In the process of hermeneutics' changing from the collection of special principles of understanding into methodology of humanity and then into ontology,the connotation of hermeneutic circle changes correspondingly.This paper aims at expounding Heidegger'ontological hermeneutics presented in Being and Time.In ontological hermeneutics,understanding and interpretation are viewed as modes of being of man,and have acquired ontological meaning.The realized understanding forms the fore-understanding or fore-structure of understanding,which serves as foundation of the further understanding and interpretation.Heidegger refutes the opinion that the relation between the fore-understanding and the further understanding and interpretation is a circular argument.He maintains that hermeneutic circle is an essential character of being of human being.By means of Heidegger'hermeneutic circle,we clearly analyze the circular relation of the whole-part in usual meaning of understanding.
