The study of the dialect in north of Guangxi and souh of Hunan is a popular researching field of linguistics, which is just unfolding lately. Up to now, few researchers have touched upon the dialect prevailing in Wenqiao town, and the like, which is located in the Quanzhou county of Guibei. The author have been this area twice doing practical research. This article, taking the dialect of Jiangtou village of Wenqiao town for reference and adopting the approach of dissecting sparrow, analyzes the tune of phonology and phonetics of Jiangtou village dialect, and compares it with other dialects; based upon which the author put forward his own opinions hoping to provide some materials for the study of the dialect in these areas.This article consists of four parts.The first part: introductionThis part introduces briefly Quanzhou' s and Wenqiao' s loca-tion, history, population and condition of language, etc.The second part: The phonetics system of the dialect of Jiangtou village.This part expounds deeply the tune of phonology, phonetics fea-tures and the law of combined pronunciation of vernacular and classi-cal Chinese of Jiangtou village dialect, and states the harmonious re-lation of its phonology; moreover, records its homonym form.The third part: comparisonThis part compares the dialect of Wenqiao with the dialect of Quanzhou town, Dongan dialect and Shuangfeng dialect delicately and deliberately, and probes into the inseparable correlation and di-vergence among these dialects.The forth part: conclusionThrough concrete linguistic materials, this part states, hy comparison, some insights over the attribute of the Wenqiao dialect.
