The Newsensualist school,which has appeared in Shanghai in the 1930' s and is represented by Mu Shiying Liu Naou and Shi Zhecun,is an important historial existance in China Modern Literature History.The appearance of the school is closely related to the magic rise of Shanghai .The prosperity of the city is not by the development of it ' s production forces ,but with the military economic and cultural invasion from the western colonialism countries. In another word,Shanghai is"imported" from The West.So the modern metropolis people who live in the city have the confused value judgment:On one hand,the writers approve of the"importive" "modern" metropolis landscape and the"modem" living pattern,they exhibite the expansion of desire and the prailance of consumption in their novels;On the other hand,they communicate their "anxiety" to the "importive" culture.The "anxiety" is mainly embodied on the four elementary relations: men and men,men and society, men and nature,men and theirselves.Ruthlessly and authenticly,the awkward circumstances are exhibited when the modern people are faced with the four relations.So the writers of the school have developed the modern literature.Moreover,the writers are also conscious of the revolusionon the aesthetic pattern and aesthetic skill .They devote themselves to finding a form which can convey their feelings as far as possible.lt is inevitable for the novels to innovate the narrative angle,the narrative method and the narrative structure.From the first day when the school appears,it is faced with the praise and the blame.I hope to evaluate the literature school impartialy and reasonably by writing the paper.
