In the work, Methods of Imagining China: History, Novel, Recounts, Mr. Wang De-wei expatiate upon the viewpoints of the Novel China, so literature Shanghai also can be like this view. Urban existed in the progress or recordation of history, and also existed in the literature narrating or literature imagination. But the latter enriches more in the diversification, and perhaps has more advantages in setting out panorama of urban.Owing to Shanghai's especial status in the modern history of Agrestic China, more and more authors have written and described this city, with their respective positions and characters, and have been figuring various types of Shanghai. The elite of intelligentsia of New Literature , such as Chen Du-siu, Zhou Zuo-ren, Zhu Zi-qin, Lao She, Bin Xin, Liang Yu-chun and so on. They are inheritors of Agrestic civilization, and their work is opposite to Business literature of Shanghai, so the idea collisions are at large and no wonder, just likes the saying, no one could agree with each other from the different directions. Mao Dun didn't just look on Shanghai as a single city and narrate it, but he wrote Shanghai as the symbol of special era and the representative of Chinese cities. In Mao Dun's work, Shanghai was not only a unique thing and ubiquity but also gestated numerous possibilities of Chinese social development. But due to the peculiar relationship between Mr. Mao and Shanghai, he couldn't form a kind of city instinct finally, and there is lack of privities by speaking or writing. But most other left-wing's authors scrutinized the urban literature with the moral standards of Agrestic China, and also criticized and charged the typical city -shanghai with the class consciousness as the chief ideology. Therefore, all of these actions followed a rational line to do some work well. New-sense authors are depicting a luxury and dissipation life, and also disturbed by villainous nightmare. Shi Zhe-cun is on the same way with New-sense School, his especial blood shaped the especial wind of Literature Shanghai. So she observed and unscrambled this city or this word, which based on the sides of pursuitting realities and pathos. Su Qin abided by a common fashion of life, so her work smelled the wind of family style and set out the ordinary life of shanghai citizens, which has a kind of steady simplicity. Yu Qie's novels focused on the sansculotte in shanghai, and put up their living conditions and philosophy.Shanghai never has one dimension from its beginning, it is heavy and complicated, simplex, rumbustious and brumal, coquettish and silvery, luxurious and penniless, gorgeous and trivial, dissipated and revolutionary, etc. All of them interlaced with one another so that people are confused with inter-space and time, and Literature Shanghai just came from it.The sitzkrieg and infiltration of Modern urban and Agrestic China go down from modern and current history to today, which resulted into Sea-school's especial status in the literary history, today's echo of history and contemporary development.With the progress of Chinese modernization, the development of Sea-school literature .
