At the beginning of the 21st century, the debates about post-modernism has been clamed down, But it is hard to say that the problems, which bring about by the post-modernism have been solved completely.This article tries to expound and prove the characteristic of revolution of thinking of post-modernism by studying the social background as well as scientific and philosophical background, the width and depth of the influence on the society and art, the value of the influences and the shortcomings simultaneous. The article points out that post-modernism aims at free the man's thinking from the rational dictatorship and from the dogmas and myths of omnipotent sciences, although it is somehow the result of academic commercialization bearing the trend and color of strong skepticism, relativism and nihilism. As a new made of thinking, post-modernism provides a new vision for people to reflect again man himself, the relation between man and nature and the relations among people. As a leading model of western culture in the past several decades, post-modernism spurs people to recognize the side effects of the modernization of some west developed countries and remind the counties on the way to modernization that they should learn from lessons and should not recommit the same errors. And it also encourages peoples to break though and makes innovations. Post-modernism's greatest influence may be the manner of thinking.Now the construction of contemporary aesthetic culture and its ways of practicing is a complex problem to which should be attached great importance, because both creator and appreciater's manner of thinking have changed subtly.
