Thinking From The Frescoes Were Destroyed And The Removal Of Poor-quality Sculptures

As enviromental art, with the rapid growth of urban construction in China,mural painting and sculpture have entered a prosperous stage.At the same time,it also appears a series of questions: Some excellent mural paintings have been spoiled since the buildings where they were painted have been pulled down.There have a number of inferior sculptures exist in many cities and creat a bad imoression on the appearances of the cities etc.Summing up the reasons,the problems'roots have been producted as follows.The programs of cities can't meet with needs of the rational development,the protection of tradition and the cities'renovation in the process of urban construction.At present, the concept,statute,theory,plan and management of urban contruction fall behind the actual situation in the process of research and practice . They didn't play their roles in the guidance, promotion and restricton. For the reasons, they cause large-scale renovations. They also cause the special features of cities are disappearing and getting identical,and the culture system of cites have been cut,and so on. The adverse circumstance of mural painting and sculpture are only the surface of the questions.we must start with the whole if we want to change the present predicaments.We should follow some rules:1 Establishing a series of policy-making systems which embody historical ,consist-ent,long-term feature and make extensive systematize which allow the public take part in.2)The city renewed should insist on the principles of organic renovation. During the process of renovation and reformation,we should pay attention to reserve the tipical buildings which have different kinds of historic features(include tipical environmental arts).3)We should emphasize protecting cities'histories,cultures and features. 4)We must realize appropriate utilization is the best and effective protection. 5)We should make good use of old buildings and facilities,and continue the history of the city,feature and tradition on the base of protection and utilization. Only the environmental arts which have excellent and artisic qualities ,and cooperate with the demands of plan,renovation,protection and utilization,can fully meet the standerds of further development.In the same way,we should depend on this priciple to make the methods of solution.
