Chinese Buddhist texts are of great value in studying the Chinese language. In the third part, some typical adverbs are discussed; and in the last part ,we select several groups of adverbs which have similar meanings, analyze their differences through comparison with Buddhist texts of Late Han and native literatures of the same period. After the analysis, we draw the conclusion that the adverb systerm in Zhi Qian's translated Buddhist texts is very different from that in the earlier time. There are a lot of new meanings and new words, it has three features: a large quantity, a combound of the new words and the old ones and many disyllabic adverbs and unstable structures.
