Nalanxingde was a famous poet who was Manchu in early Qing Dynasty. He has a heroic and frank character while his poem is natural and full of sadness. Recently, the research of poems in Qing Dynasty has become an interesting topic. Nalanxingde lived in the era which Confucianism, Buddhism and Daoism were merged. It influenced his thought heavily as well. Based on his Buddhist idea, the thesis studied the relationship between the Buddhist thought and his poem. There are three chapters in this dissertation. The first chapter makes us understand Nalanxingde's acceptance to Buddhism under the study of the Buddhist atmosphere in early Qing Dynasty society, Nalanxingde's experience and his lift; ideal. The second chapter demonstrates the effect of Buddhist thought on words, theme and the construction of idea in Nalanxingde's poem. The third chapter discusses the relationship between the poem mind and Buddhist thought. In conclusion, Buddhist thought is very important to Nalanxingde and it has a great effect on Nalanxingde's poem. However, it should be pointed out that Nalanxingde's understanding to Buddhism did not come to a perfect degree; his attitude to Buddhism is practical.
