The Baishi Word Wind Interpretation

Jiang Kui was an outstanding poet in the Southern Song Dynasty.Jiang Kui was praised by the famous poets for his artistic temperament and character was like that of a refined scholar in the Jin and Song Dynasty.He expressed concern for his homeland in his Ci(poetic lyric)with the sadness that entrusted by the vanilla ,the pretty woman and the checkrow.Jiang Kui used the wonderful literary talent ,the sweet sound and emotion in his Ci,He used a lot of allusions and cold white scenes to describe the environment ,He built up his literary style which was vacancy and patriotic elegance,He also excelled in composing the melody that could match his sentiment for the Ci.The most important reason of Jiang Kui's success was the novelty in his works,When we contrast Jiang Kui with his contemporaries,e.g. Wen Ting Yun,Yan Shu,Liu Yong,Zhou Bang Yan and Xin Qi Ji,etc,we can easily identity Jiang Kui's style:poetically elegant,gracefully restrained,Jiang Kui is a very influential poet.He is admired and imitated. Jiang Kui leaded the gentle Ci to a more elegant direction,His influence is evident in the literary realm from the Southern Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty.
