Marriage destinies that will bring society to its senses is one of therepresentative works of the social novels. The author presents realistically amuti-layer and vivid picture of the society and ideology of the Ming Dynasty. Thisarticle attempts to study the disaster and famine of Marriage destinies that willbring society to its senses in Shandong province. By verifying the recordation ofnovel and historical materials, I analyze local society of Ming Dynasty. This article is consisted of four parts. The first part discusses the age when thenovel accomplished and when the disaster happened, in order to validate the noveloffering valuable historical materials. The second part tells the flood, drought,victims' living and the situation of a disaster of Shandong province in MingDynasty. In the third part, we'll review the role, function and local administrate,servant of bureaucracy and local authority. If the mechanism of famine relievingoperated well in grass-root society, it needed cooperating effetely in every joint.The forth part discusses availability of the program of famine relieving,analyzingthe different aftermath.
