Artistic Creation Should Call Attention To The National Culture Of Self-consciousness

Portrait-painting is derived from western painting technical term. In the traditional Chinese painting, portrait-painting was just a form of figure painting and there was no precise definition. According to dictionary, portrait-painting is a painting that describes figure specifically aiming at a likeness not only in appearance but also in spirit, it including head portrait, full-length picture, and group portrait and so on. Painters should deal well with not only the relations between figures and figures but also figures and surrounding, so that painting can get the unity of figure' s action and the whole painting arrangement. This paper aims at studying portrait-painting in the broad sense.The Mongolian nationality is a nationality of long history. During the long period, they created brilliant and dazzling culture. Most obvious art forms are Mongolian dance, songs or epics, but Mongolian painting especially Mongolian portrait-painting, as an important part of Mongolian culture, is rarely seen now. Among these few paintings, there are Yinshan rock painting which plays a function of symbolization and recording, emperor painting which plays a function of reappearing and portrait-painting in the murals which is influenced by the religion. Among these paintings, many had influenced by the foreign culture. In the modern time, paintings become more and more popular, so there are more Mongolian painters. Mongolian paintings get numerous significant achievements.This paper is from the history analysis point of view. Taking a sweeping view of Mongolian painting development, it is influenced by different culture including foreign culture and religion. In the process of culture changing, Mongolian painting had different styles and roles played in the development of society. This paper pays more attentions to the present situation of modern Mongolian portrait-painting, Mongolian culture posture which is under the attack of different kinds of culture, and also the conflict of Mongolian' s feeling at home wherever they are and the decline of their traditional culture.At last, through the writer' s analysis of art practice, thinking about the changing Mongolian culture, focusing on the changing of Mongolian' s spiritual stature and behaviors, the writer choose the standard culture in the GuoerLuosi region. Using the figures in the real life as form of target and using realism technique to express the situation of Mongolians under different culture, the paper is to reveal how Mongolians accept modern culture to change their life styles, improve their life situations, and deal with the conflict of declining national culture and present statures. I would like to further my explanation, which is Mongolian portrait-painting can recall the attention to spontaneous awareness of nationally culture.Basing on the above problems about culture and my practice, I wrote this paper.
