Contemporary Urban Community Music Culture Study

The dissertation proceeds society investigation and case study, probes into the social and cultural reasons of such local urban community music culture phenomenon prosperity using method and opinion of sociology of music, and derives out the common characteristic of the contemporary urban community's music culture and the social function which brings into play. The author chooses the current situation of community music culture of Xuchang city in Henan Province as research object, and uses method and opinion of music.According to results of investigation, The author proposes some suggestions and countermeasures to some questions in the current situation of urban community music culture in Xuchang and draws some generality principles which the function administrative department of social culture needs paying attention to while launching the contemporary urban community's cultural construction from it : Community's music culture is the key subsystem, which leads to the benign cycle of the product of contemporary social music ; Community music cultural construction needs artistry of emphasizing ; Community is the media to organize society communicating of music culture ; Community's music culture should service for constructing harmony society .
