With the deepening of film industry development and reform, the individually-run film enterprisesrise rapidly, and part of state-owned film studios depresse simultaneously. The party concernedpoint out that state-owned film studios should quit this competitive film market. However, partdoesn't mean all. Some old film studios like Shanghai Flm Group regains its prosperity andbrilliance. Film studios now are facing a development but not an existence problem.Shanghai, the cradle of Chinese film, had a strong foundation of film industry before 1949. Afterthat, Shanghai film studio, the inheritor of old shanghai film, has obtained outstandingachievements. However, because of the recession of whole Chinese film industry, Shanghai filmmarket is also shrunk. From 2004, guided by the policy of "opening urges reform &cooperation accelerates development", Shanghai Film Group now plays an important role in theChinese film industry, which gives all a surprise ! Nevertheless, the group also has some hiddentrouble during the progress. The paper following believes the key to the problem is focusing on 2core areas: film writing & co-production, and making a breakthrough of capital operation &management at the same time.
