| Women's consciousness in writing has strided into a new stage since the founding of our People's Republic and the women's emancipation. On one hand, it experiences the outside world with women's special perspectives decided by women's psychological and physiological system; on the other hand, women's consciousness has close relationship with the development of the society, economy, history and ideology. Women's consciousness contains different levels and historical meanings in different historical phases.This essay aims to analyze the women's consciousness in Chinese male writers' writing with a way of gender study on the basis of sorting our western and Chinese feminism. Focusing on gender, women's social position is examined and also the social formulation to men is studied in the essay. Men and women will be set free from the absurd, decayed, and biased old cultural and sexual values, thus live in a harmonious society.Three motives are used by modern Chinese male writers to express women's consciousness: First, worship of mother: by analyzing the worship and profanity of mother in male writers' writing, the complexity and richness of mother topic can be conveyed; second, worship of penis: through this analysis, men's concern and worry about sex is expressed; third, humanism care: in this aspect, men's realistic and final care towards women are examined, showing male writers' humanism care and spirit rescuing for women is beyond sex. In all the three motives, gender study is used to analyze the male writers complex inner world within the texts.Through the analysis of women's consciousness in male writers' writing, we get the conclusion: women's consciousness in men's text has double connotations. From the perspective of human beings, male writer is objective. They hope women enjoy a happy life, realize their dreams and surpass themselves. But from the patriarchal perspective, men's writing becomes conservative and stubborn. In order to protect patriarchal culture, men press oppression and confinement on women. Furthermore, contemporary men's text also explores the hard choice between their own sex attribute and social attribute. |
