On Shen Opposition From The Text Of The Novel's Text

This dissertation points out that the creation of Shen Congwen's novel does contain some unique phenomenon of version opposite. The opposite is reflected in the following aspects. Firstly: Time Opposite, which can be divided from time, version evolution of anti-war and space. Secondly, it embodies lyric and reality from the mode of version narration. Thirdly, the versions criticize "looking forward" and "looking backward", which virtually is the issue whether Shen Congwen's novels embody the modern consciousness or not.There are a lot of arguments on his novel creation in the research field. Based on the arguments the research of this paper analyzes the three aspects above and draws the conclusion that the general ideas of Opposite that Shen Congwen's novel creation impresses to us are false, or is merely a superficial phenomenon. Divided by the time of anti-war, the realization of Shen Congwen's two creative climax and version evolution is the adjustment of visual angle of him. The adjustment transfers from focusing on individual narration of Xiangxi to echo the national issues. The opposite between city and country has close relationship with Shen Congwen's legend and his mixed feeling when he created works. The opposite situation between city and country eventually dissolved in the rational cognition after his struggling of the two cultures. It is the combination of lyric and reality of narration that forms the unique pastoral novel. The criticism of "looking forward " or "looking backward" on version virtually is the issue whether Shen Congwen's novels embody the modern consciousness. Furthermore, this paper points out: what leaves the impression of Shen Congwen's novel is not the version itself but the awkwardness and confusion when he faced "civilization and moral" between human nature and his single "cultural choice" and he struggled between his intuition and meditating modern national issues, during he applied his novel to discover the ideal humanity. All mentioned above are the complex, variety and special characteristics contained in Shen Congwen's novel.
