This thesis mainly represents the value of Confucius to The Book of Songs. Confucius is the representative of the Confucians, is the founder of Chinese traditional culture, and is a magnificent statesman, educator and thinker. The Book of Songs is the Chinese oldest poem book, it born in the pre-Qin days, which is splendid and gracious, and has the specialization of reality and naivety. It is said that the six classics are collected by Confucius. This thesis does a special study on Confucius and The Book of Songs from poem deleting, poem theory and Confucius Poem Dissertation.The first part represents Confucius deletes poems. Records of the Historian said that The Book of Songs were deleted by Confucius, the Hans all believed it, but the Tangs suspected it, and many scholars questioned it from Ming, Qing up till now. It became a focus of Confucius poem study. Many scholars involved in the argument and no conclusion. This thesis gives the typical views of the two opposites, shows their arguments, then inspects the aim of poem deleting, disputes the negative views, discusses the poem deleting standard, traces the marks of deleting in ZuoZhuan, and proves the magnificence of Confucius collecting The Book of Songs.The second part represents Confucius's poem theory and his poem aesthetics appreciation. Confucius's poem theory is a system of evaluating and appreciation, which includes SiWuXie, XingGuangQunYuan etc. This thesis tries to get a new meaning from exegetics of SiWuXie, which is the core of Confucius's poem theory, and then analyses the four points XingGuangQunYuan with bamboo. This thesis inspects poem education, discusses WenRouDunHou, evaluates Confucius's poem aesthetics, and believes it is a theory system of poem appreciation.The last part represents the specialization and value of Confucius Poem Dissertation. This thesis discusses the author, documentary comparison and explaining specialization. The author of Confucius Poem Dissertation is to be argued. There are three main points presently, such as Confucius Shuo, Buzi Shuo and Zishang Shuo, the author should to be Confucius according to correlated data. This thesis compares bamboo and written materials, discusses the relationship of Poem and Courtesy, Poem and Usage, Poem and Music, and believes that bamboo is a supplement to written materials.
